Facilitation of Certificate of Good Conduct

  • To facilitate records searches on criminal record certificate applicants, the Kenya Police Force requires applicants to submit to fingerprinting by police in their country of residence. This must be submitted in the form specified by the Kenya Police Force.
  • Make sure to have your fingerprints taken at the Embassy or a police station near you and get an official endorsement with the police station seal or official stamp. Copied or previously used fingerprints will not be accepted. Please pay the application fee of OMR. 10.000 for fingerprints at the Embassy.
  • If you are a foreign national, Kenya Police will require documentary proof stating your period of residence in Kenya and your current immigration status. Possible documents include a copy of your residence permit, a copy of your passport endorsement or alien registration, or proof of employment.
  • Certificate issuance may take more than 3 months. If the applicant wishes to send fingerprints directly to the Criminal Investigation Division, please remember to include your contact information when doing so.
