e-passport facilitation by the embassy
To All Kenyans in the Sultanate of Oman
The Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in the Sultanate of Oman wishes to inform the Kenyan Diaspora as follows;
- That the Embassy is working closely with the Immigration Department in Nairobi through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the Republic of Kenya to send an Officer to Oman to facilitate the e-Passport processing.
- That the number of the Kenyan Diaspora who are willing to change their old generation dark blue passports to EAC e-Passports will determine whether the exercise will take place.
- That the application is done online through www.ecitizen.go.ke and payment can be made via Mpesa. The e-Passport requirements are;
- Copy of Passport
- Copy of Kenyan ID
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Copy of Kenyan ID of recommender
- Copy of Oman Visa
- Copy of invoice of Passport payment
- Copy of Passport Application Forms
- Three Passport photo size on a white background
The Embassy wishes to encourage the Kenyan Diaspora in the Sultanate of Oman who are willing to participate in the exercise to register their details via the form provided below to enable the embassy plan accordingly.

Following the demise of His Excellency Emilio Mwai Kibaki, C.G.H, M.P, the Third President and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces of the Republic of Kenya (2002-2013) we wish to inform Kenyans in the Sultanate of Oman that a condolence Book in his honour has been opened at the Embassy.
Kenyans interested to sign the book may visit the Embassy from Tuesday 26th – Thursday 28th April, 2022 from 1200hrs – 1400hrs.

As you all know, Jamhuri Day is a special day for the people and the Government of Kenya when all of us come together to celebrate and commemorate the day Kenya became a Republic.
My team and I would like to meet you all our Diaspora in the Sultanate of Oman on Saturday, 11th December, 2021 from 3.00pm at venue in Muscat to be announced later. For adequate planning, we urge those who wish to participate in this auspicious occasion, to register in the link provided below. There is a limited number we can accommodate due to the COVID-19. Registration will be closed on 6th December, 2021 and further details will be provided only to those who register to enable us observe our friendly host country health protocols.
I look forward to celebrating our day together. Kindly note that Covid-19 protocols and guidelines as per the Ministry of Health of the Sultanate of Oman will be strictly observed.
